From TSN.ca

"Centre Nazem Kadri will make his NHL debut for the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight.

The 19-year-old was called up on an emergency basis as Christian Hanson and Fredrik Sjostrom will both be sitting out with the flu.

Kadri has 26 goals and 40 assists in 42 games with the OHL's London Knights this season.

The London, Ontario native was drafted seventh overall by the Maple Leafs in the first round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft."

Im pumped to see how he does.
Against the Sharks too.
Should be a good game.

About as good as Blake, except at Centre, and not wing, lol.

Blake is also 17 yrs older than Kadri.

Kadri will be a star. this will be a good learning experience for him.

I was talking about now, not the future. I wouldn't say he'll be a star, but he's definitely a solid prospect.

Good to see him dishing it though, both through passing and his physicality. I thought he'd be a real hog, à la the Juniors.

you've probably seen him play less then 10 times in your life so how can you say that he wont be a star.

Dude. Seriously, this shit is getting old. "You've never peronally seen ____ play, how can you say that?" Shut up. I don't need to go to every game live to witness him play. I've seen him play junior both live and on TV, as well as watching the Juniors.

How can you say he WILL be a star? Alexandre Daigle was AMAZING in juniors, and where is he now? Hell, Ryan Leaf was a great college quarterback, but let's ask the San Diego Chargers to explain how well he did in his career.

Those are extreme examples, but Kadri will not be a star. A solid player, likely, but not a star.

A lot of people had never heard of or seen Hitler before he came to power.
He was a star of sorts

So... about Giguere. If he continues to play the way he has, I say the Leafs re-sign him. Not to another $7Mper contract, but between $4.5-5M. Him and François Allaire have some crazy chem, and I think he could carry this team. But, that's an early assumption.

Where did I ever say he would be a star? You still have probably seen the kid play less then 10 times, which you can't base how a players career will go off of that. You have no proof that he won't be a star, only off of your bias judgement from the minimal time you've seen him play do you say that.

Honestly, all your opinions are based of what you think and the terrible hockeyblogs you frequent. Just like you saying Seguin and Hall won't be great players just because the draft class is weak. I've heard from plenty of NHL scouts through working in the OHL and QMJHL that they feel this draft has more depth then last years, and that Hall and Seguin are possibly both more dynamic then JT.

You said "... so how can you say that he wont be a star." which is basically stating that you disagree with me. I didn't say he won't be as a positive statement, I said that "I wouldn't say he'd be a star", meaning it's too early to tell. I never said he won't be, I think he'll be a solid player, but not a star like Crosby, Nash, Ovechkin, etc. Stop putting words in my mouth.

For fuck sakes, you really do underestimate me here Sports blogs have no affect on my opinions. I didn't say Hall or Seguin wouldn't be great, I just said I doubt they'd be Crosby, Ovechkin, or Gretzky-esque. IIRC, I said the exact same thing about Tavares. And guess what, thus far, he hasn't been.

I form my own opinions bud. And that's exactly what they are; opinions. I think this draft class is weaker than the past few years, your opinion differs. But to say that my opinions are biased upon those of others is ridiculous.

This is what i said.

He will be 33 at the time,he will have lots of life left. I rather go with a sure thing in him then gamble on gustavsson(who will never be better then him imo)

Giguere plays one mediocre season and everybody forgets about the guy. This is a stanley cup winning goalie if I need to remind ppl. This is a man who is proven to have what it takes to win. If hes given solid defencive work (forwards/defenceman)... he CAN bring us a cup. Remember cujo? He had the ability to bring us all the way.. so does Giguere. Im not saying he will, but he has the goods to do it. Brian Burke is a fucking smart guy.. I think he had planned this for awhile. In such a short period of time, hes brought us Giguere, Kessel, Phaneouf and our new defencive prospect. That is progress. For the first time in a long time... im excited with the leafs and what will shortly come of our team. With the way we CAN play, I say we make the play-off's next year. and Kadri will be a 30+ goal scorer in the NHL.

He was also out-played by Hiller.

Hopefully he won't let something like that happen again.

yeye, i mean like he had a bad season... and it made it worse that the back up was playing great.

the reason i think he wont let it happen, is cuz hes got a fresh clean start. and with goalies, like u know, its all a mental game. 3-1 right? so far so good.
